Hand-painted personalised children's gifts

I have been hand-painting these and other nursery/children's furnishings for over 10 years. The appeal of something a bit different has meant that I've successfully sold at craft fairs, through a few (select) gift shops, over the Internet, and of course through word of mouth.

In order be able to offer as large a range of gift ideas as possible, each unique letter design (and there are currently between 5 and 15 for each letter of the alphabet), and each possible 'peripheral' (butterflies, flowers, teddy bears, bees etc.), are hand-painted by myself, in water colour and then scanned into a computer – this gives a great deal of flexibility both in terms of time as well as design. Each name can be designed afresh – giving a completely original picture for each individual customer. No two letters in one name are ever painted exactly the same and I am always introducing new animal designs.

If you have any special preferences - a favourite animal or colour scheme for example, I will try to reflect this in the finished picture. Because it's not always possible to completely customise a name painting (there is far less scope for design in a very short name for instance), I give everyone the opportunity to Try Before You Buy.

Name paintings come in two sizes – 12" x 24" and A4 (this is the actual artwork size); framed (UK mainland only), and unframed. Laminated room names are A4 size and laminated so they don't need a frame. The party invitations are A5 and there are currently two different designs to choose from. The frames are pine, and each picture is designed to hang on a wall, although the smaller ones could go on a door. Every picture is signed and can be dated if required - making the perfect christening or birthday gift.
